Bringing a child under the age of 18 to the Netherlands: what do I need to arrange?
If you hold a valid residence permit for the Nederlands and want to bring your child under 18 years (a minor) to the Netherlands, you may need to apply for a residence permit and take out health insurance for them.
Children aged 18 or older must apply for a residence permit themselves, for example, if they wish tot study in the Netherlands. The IND will assess whether they are eligible for a residence permit.
