Thematic Country of Origin Information Report on the Russian Federation (February 2025)

This Country of Origin Information Report describes the situation concerning the military service, the situation of LGBTIQ+ and opposition in the Russian Federation insofar as this affects the assessment of asylum applications from persons originating from the Russian Federation, and for decision making regarding the repatriation of rejected Russian asylum seekers. It is an update of the general country of origin information report on the Russian Federation of March 2023. This Country of Origin Information Report covers the period from March 2023 up to and including 14 February 2025.
